Alumwell Show at Aldersley Leisure Village on 9th March ... Who missed it?

Putting on a convention game.

John came to me with an idea and which he has started putting into action, to recreate a Cuban attack on Spanish troops in Cuba during the Cuban war of Independence 1895 - 1898, before the American Invasion.

The Spanish SAW 27 and SAW 26.

'SAW 1 ....US sympathisers/freebooters. They have retained or aquired vestages of army equipment.'

SAW 47SAW40

Using the two sets of ''Cubans'' was a bit limiting and as John pointed out most of the Cuban fighters were of Afro-Caribbean decent.  So he suggested using the Cuban sets SAW 40, SAW 41 and the Hottentot sets from our German range GC 20, GC 21 and GC 22, and don't forget a couple of packes of SAW 46, SAW 47 and SAW 48 Filipinos.

With one or two changes he's making progress ...

The game looked great ...Well done John.
